HypeGirl

Safety Policy

Last updated May 29, 2026

Our Safety Model

HypeGirl is designed for everyday encouragement, homework help, and age-appropriate facts. Sensitive and urgent topics are handled differently through a parent safety loop.

GREEN Messages

Everyday messages, school questions, hobbies, friendship updates, and general encouragement can receive an immediate HypeGirl response.

AMBER Messages

Messages about family conflict, bullying, dating, sadness, anxiety, body image, or other sensitive topics may pause for parent review. The child may see a gentle waiting message while the parent decides how to respond.

RED Messages

Messages about self-harm, suicide, abuse, sexual exploitation, active substance use, or immediate danger show crisis guidance and may appear urgently in Hype HQ.

Emergency Reminder

HypeGirl cannot contact emergency services. If someone may be in immediate danger, call 911. If things feel unsafe or unbearable in the U.S., call or text 988.

Parent Role

Parents should review Hype HQ regularly, talk with their child about how the app works, and treat safety alerts as prompts for real-world care and conversation.
