What HypeGirl Collects
HypeGirl collects account details such as name, email address, role, family code, linked child name, subscription status, and optional avatar choices. HypeGirl also stores chat messages, message classifications, parent queue items, and parent replies so the app can provide chat history and safety review.
How Information Is Used
We use this information to operate the app, connect parents and children through a family code, provide AI responses, track free-message limits, process subscriptions, and show sensitive or urgent messages in the parent dashboard.
Parent Safety Review
Messages classified as AMBER or RED may be stored in Hype HQ for parent review. RED messages also show crisis guidance inside the child experience. HypeGirl is not an emergency service.
Data Retention And Deletion
During beta, HypeGirl keeps chat messages, parent queue items, and safety classifications so families can see recent history and so the safety loop works correctly. This should not feel like a forever archive. Parents can request deletion of family data from Hype HQ or by contacting Brook Heights Media, and before a broader launch HypeGirl should add clearer in-app controls for deleting accounts and setting retention expectations.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. HypeGirl stores Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, but does not store full payment card numbers.
Children And Parent Consent
HypeGirl is designed for use with parent involvement. Parents should create the family account, share the family code with their child, and review whether HypeGirl is appropriate for their family.
Data Sharing
HypeGirl uses Firebase, Cloudflare, Stripe, Anthropic, and email infrastructure to run the service. Data is shared with those providers only as needed to provide the app, safety loop, billing, and AI responses.
